Crescent Women World Cup Vargarda RR - Race Overview

A day of attacks and strong racing from Orica-AIS at the world cup race in Vargarda, Sweden, saw Amanda Spratt win The Sufferfest  most aggressive rider of the day award, and Emma Johansson finish in a strong 8th place from the reduced bunch sprint.

Jolien D'Hoore (Wiggle Honda) took the win, and simultaneously took over the World Cup leaders jersey.

"With the new format we had 60km of undulating roads with a dirt section, it made the race a fair bit easier before hitting the finishing circuits," explained sports director Gene Bates.
