Mitchelton Bay Cycling Classic - Men - Race Overview

Matt Goss proved fastest in Eastern Gardens, winning the field sprint on the second stage of the Mitchelton Bay Cycling Classic. The following day Luke Durbridge won a two-up sprint to win in Portarlington. The wins proved decisive in the team classification, which ORICA-GreenEDGE won after putting six riders in the top six overall - Goss in fourth, Leigh Howard in fifth and Durbridge in sixth.

“We came here with the aim of winning at least one stage, so we doubled our expectations. Taking out the team classification wasn’t on our radar, but we’re happy to walk away with that. It’s a bonus at the end of a successful week of racing.” - Sport Director Matt Wilson
