Prudential RideLondon & Surrey Classic - Race Overview

Former world champion on the track Leigh Howard has finish sixth from a late break at the Prudential RideLondon Surrey Classic today.

Howard represented ORICA-GreenEDGE in the eight-rider move that formed in the last 40km of racing.

After a series of attacks from within, four riders fought it out in a final sprint, Jempy Drucker (Team BMC) the victor. At the end of 200km of racing, Howard finished four seconds behind in sixth position.

“Leigh had a great ride today,” sport director Matt White said. “He saw and took his opportunity at the right time.”
