Dutch sprinter Dylan Groenewegen will headline a sprint focussed Team BikeExchange-Jayco squad as they head to Germany for the BEMER Cyclassics.
Groenewegen lines up fresh off a stage victory at the Arctic Race of Norway last week, and the 2022 Tour de France stage winner will be joined by his trusty lead out man Luka Mezgec in Hamburg this weekend.
Amund Grøndahl Jansen, Jack Bauer and Alexander Konychev will provide the team with power, while fast finisher Campbell Stewart will be a key man in the final lead out. Dutch domestique Jan Maas will round out the seven-rider team.
The BEMER Cyclassics returns in 2022 with its familiar parcours that will see the peloton wind through the roads outside of Hamburg, before racing into the city for three laps of a demanding circuit.

Dylan Groenewegen:
“I’m happy to be competing in the Hamburg classic again. It’s a race that I like, in 2017 I got on the podium and the year before, I finished in the top-10. It’s a race that exceeds 200 kilometres and therefore always makes a certain selection.
I am in good condition at the moment, I came out of the Tour de France well and I’m coming to Hamburg after a stage win in the Arctic Race last week, so the confidence is high.”
Matt White – Head Sport Director:
“Bemer Cyclassic is a race renowned for arriving in a bunch sprint. Sometimes the group is big, sometimes the group is selected. We have Dylan Groenewegen who has been successful here before and finished the Tour de France and Arctic Race in a good way.
This gives us a lot of confidence that he’s in good shape and ready for this weekend and we also have Luka Mezgec who had a good race last Sunday at the European championships. So we’re looking forward to this Sunday and the chance of achieving a big result.”
