Team BikeExchange-Jayco is pleased to confirm the contract renewal of Australian domestique Jess Allen, who signs on for another season, with the new agreement taking the 29-year-old’s tenure with the Australian outfit to eight years.
 
The rider from Perth has a reputation as a reliable teammate who can play her part in a wide range of races across the entire season, and with that, the management team is thrilled to see Allen continue as a valued member on and off the bike.

I’m going into my eighth year with the team and I’m extremely thankful to Gerry and Val Ryan for their continued commitment to this team. I’m looking forward to using my experience and knowledge to help develop the new riders that we’ll have on the team next year.

I enjoy being a team captain on and off the bike and creating an environment and culture that everyone feels comfortable in, and this will be important with the new riders we have joining. This year we have seen how strong our current riders have been, so I think next year we will have more confidence and motivation to get even bigger results.

Personally, I’ve had a bit of bad luck but also one of my strongest seasons on the bike and I’m motivated to have a solid off season of training and step up another level again next season. I’ll be heading back to Australia after two years in Europe, so I’m really excited to be back racing the ‘Summer of Cycling’ in Australia in GreenEDGE kit again.”
