✍🏼 Team BikeExchange-Jayco welcome Lukas Pöstlberger on a two-year deal to strengthen the Classics squad

Austrian all-rounder Lukas Pöstlberger has put pen to paper, signing a new two-year contract with Team BikeExchange-Jayco, to boost the squad’s options in a wide range of races across the WorldTour calendar.

The 30-year-old has proven himself to be a top teammate while also scoring victories in the biggest races himself such as the Giro d’Italia, and with this, the Australian outfit is delighted to add his diverse skillset to its roster, as it continues to add strength and depth across the board.

The squad believe the addition of Pöstlberger will help bolster its Classics group, and that the Austrian will be able to slot into the sprint trains and as a valuable contributor in the Grand Tours, making it an all-round exciting signing.

Brent Copeland – General Manager
“It is always important to have real all-round riders in the team that can contribute to a range of races and with Pöstlberger, we have seen on many occasions he is a valuable rider to have that can transfer his strength across races.

We are really strengthening the foundations of our team for 2023 and beyond, as we look to target the general classification in stage races but also develop our Classics group and sprint train, so to bring Pöstlberger in to the team, with his experience and skillset, it was a really important signing for us as we continue to grow.

He has a lot to give, and I am sure he will bring with him a lot of experience to share with the other riders. He is a rider that knows how to win, and it will be good to see him race next year in Team BikeExchange-Jayco colours and see what we can achieve together.”

“I am really looking forward to joining Team BikeExchange-Jayco, it’s going to be a totally new adventure for me and I’m really excited to get this journey started. I always felt a kind of connection with the team, I know many people at GreenEDGE Cycling, athletes and staff, and there was always lots of respect between us.

When I was younger GreenEDGE was always one of the teams that I was admiring the most and I am really keen to get into the team environment. With this new adventure, there’s new possibilities and I hope we can achieve great results together. I can’t wait to start!”
