“Strade Bianche is always a very special race for me. Thanks also to the Tuscan landscape, I can say that since the first recon I immediately fell in love with this race. I’m slowly recovering after having to stop because of illness for a few days and so I don’t know how my condition will be, but for sure, I will give the best I can.”

Mathew Hayman – Sport Director:
“It will be great to really kick off racing in Italy with Strade Bianche. We have two Italian riders in the team with Alessandro De Marchi and national champion Filippo Zana who are very happy to return to compete in their home country.

Also, Zdenek Stybar will be at the start in Siena and of course he has sweet memories of this particular race. As usual, the level of competition is very high and therefore we will have to be aggressive and also be very careful because every moment can be decisive.”
