Wednesday, 15th March – Belgium
Letizia Paternoster:
“I’m ready and motivated and I hope to be there in the final, and to reach the end with the best possible legs. The feeling with the girls is also developing really well; we understand each other well, especially in the final of the race. I think we’ll be active throughout the race and will be able to get the best possible result. The finish is uphill on cobblestones, so it won’t be an easy one, but I really like uphill finishes, so let’s see.”
Martin Vestby – Sport Director:
“We have a really typical Belgian race that gives us a bit of everything with cobbles, some wind and smaller roads. A nice Classic to prepare for the next big Monuments coming up. We’re also getting some reinforcements after a bout of sickness, so we’ll start with a really strong and motivated team.
We have cards to cover most eventualities, and we want to put ourselves out there and cover any situation that could occur. We have Letizia [Paternoster] who has been racing really well recently as a our sprinter, and for more aggressive racing and support in the sprint we can count on Kristen [Faulkner] after a great ride in Strade Bianche, and also Ruby [Roseman-Gannon]. It looks good and the girls are excited and ready.”
