EY to help deliver fans more insights via Velon

Wed 1 May 2019

Velon and EY, a global leader in the delivery of professional services, to deliver the revolutionary “VelonLive” race data system for pro-road cycling.

The companies will work together to create digital products that put fans at the centre of races and highlight the skill and performance of the teams and riders who battle against each other over strength-sapping mountains and on high-powered sprint finishes.

Since 2016, Velon has been delivering unique insights, unseen in any other global sport, showing the live athletic performance of cycling’s teams and stars. This partnership will draw on EY’s deep digital and data analytics expertise and yet again improve the experience for fans.

Amongst the products which will be developed by EY and Velon:

  • A new race centre containing comprehensive coverage of the world’s top professional cycling races. #OnePlaceForTheRace
  • Enhanced data analytics platform driving Velon’s wholly-owned rider biometric data system
  • Deeper insight into rider data to create new fan engagement tools which can be shared with race organisers, broadcasters and cycling media outlets

Matteo Trentin - European Road Race Champion 2018:
