Cameron Meyer

"I am excited to be back in Europe for the road racing season and joining up with Mitchelton-SCOTT. It was a long and successful Australian Summer for me concluding with the Commonwealth Games but now I’m looking forward to some road tours starting with at the Tour des Fjords.

"It is a short Tour des Fjords this year with only three stages and because of this, I’m sure they will be fast and aggressive. I think a couple of the stages could suit Michael Albasini and myself with a few punchy finishes. Hopefully we can be up amongst the mix and look for a good result on some of the stages."

Sport director James Victor

"For many riders the Tour des Fjords is the first race back after the classics, Ardennes period so we will be racing without any real pressure but looking to take our opportunities for a stage win and we know all the guys are in a good shape.

"With two uphill finishes we have a good chance with riders like Michael Albasini and Carlos Verona in the team and we are happy to have Cameron Meyer back on board, who will be joining the team for his first European race of the season after the Commonwealth games."
