Sat 4 Jul 2015

ORICA-GreenEDGE has debuted a new vehicle fleet at this year’s Tour de France courtesy of a sponsorship agreement with Renault.

The partnership with the French car company will see the team driving new 2015 Renault Megane for the remainder of the 2015 season and full 2016 season.

The women’s outfit, ORICA-AIS, will also use the new Renault vehicles.

"We're thrilled to have Renault on board for the next 18months and we look forward to starting out the world's biggest race with brand new cars,” ORICA-GreenEDGE general manager Shayne Bannan said.

“With a long and demanding season on all kinds of road surface, it's great for us to have a partner like Renault provide us with the perfect cars.”

Commenting on the announcement of Renault Australia’s sponsorship of ORICA-GreenEDGE Justin Hocevar, Managing Director Renault Australia, said: “It is with great excitement that we announce Renault’s new sponsorship for ORICA-GreenEDGE.  Renault will be the official vehicle sponsor for ORICA-GreenEDGE with both our Megane Wagon and all-new Trafic van.”

“We will have vehicles operating in Italy out of Orica GreenEdge’s European base along with Australia when the team is down under in the summer months.

“At Renault we demonstrate our passion for life through our sponsorships and we believe ORICA-GreenEDGE is a fantastic brand fit for us.  As Australia’s only professional road racing cycling team our alignment demonstrates our enthusiasm for this growing, national sport.  We look forward to bringing ORICA-GreenEDGE into the Renault family and wish them all the best for the upcoming Tour de France.”

ORICA-GreenEDGE’s new fleet will feature:

·      12 Renault Megane
·      2 Renault Trafic Van
