Mitchelton-SCOTT women kicked off their 2019 Giro-Rosa campaign today with a promising performance in the opening stage team time trial, securing fourth place and gaining some time on some key general classification contenders.
Taking their chances with a fast start, the team had the challenge of managing rider efforts throughout the hilly time trial. After 18kilometres of racing it was Canyon-SRAM that proved to be the strongest combined team on the day to take the stage win.
