The 29th edition of Thüringen Rundfahrt opened with a short 67kilometre circuit stage finishing with a bunch sprint.
ORICA-AIS's highest place finisher was Dutch time trial champion Annemiek Van Vleuten sprinting into 22nd place to finish one second behind the stage winner Marianna Vos (Rabo-Liv).
With overall ambitions a key goal, the team limited their losses today finishing safety and still with in contention and heading into the more challenging stages.
"It was one of those uneventful stages," explained sport director Martin Barras. "The highlights were the intermediate sprints and the Queen of the mountain sprints."
