La Route de France
Stage 2: Breuillet to Saint Benoit sur Loire - Stage Details

For the second consecutive day, Route de France concluded with a bunch sprint with ORICA-AIS rider Sarah Roy sprinted into the top ten for the third day in a row.

Today’s 114kilometre stage of the UCI 2.1 category race was predominantly flat and fast with winds causing splits within the peloton. ORICA-AIS had strength in numbers with four of the team represented in the main front split of the day.

“The race split to bits within the first 20kilometres today due to some cross wind sections,” explained sport director Gene Bates. “We had four riders in the front group and it pretty much stayed like that the whole day because there was a strong tailwind.”
