La Route de France
Stage 4: Buxy to Chalon sur Saone - Stage Details

American time-trial specialist Tayler Wiles had a solid performance to claim second place for ORICA-AIS in today’s time trial stage at Route de France.

The 27-year-old stopped the clock in a time of 18minutes and 40seconds to secure second place behind the eventual stage winner Amber Neben (Be-Pink) who now moves into the leader's jersey.

The 15kilometre individual time-trial, coming in on day five of the tour caused a significant shake up in the general classification with Wiles jumping up into third spot as hoped.

“Today was a big goal for sure,” explained Wiles after the podium ceremony. “Of course I wanted to win it, but coming second to Neben isn’t terrible."
