La Route de France
Stage 5: Bourbonne les Bains to La Bresse - Stage Details

27-year-old Tayler Wiles had a strong ride today's on stage five Route de France, finishing in a respectable fourth place to sucessfully remain in second place overall.

Today was the first real mountain test with a challenging six kilometre climb up towards the finish. Wiles rode strongly to maintain her second place on the general classification by finishing the stage in fourth place as the current race leader Amber Neben (Be-Pink) claimed a solo victory.

The young ORICA-AIS team worked hard again throughout the stage to keep their general classification hopeful out of trouble ahead of the uphill battle to the finish line.

“The team were really good again today,” explained sport director Gene Bates. “The girls were all really aggressive to try and get into an early move and it took around 50kilometres until one finally went away.”
