Ladies Tour of Norway - Race Overview

Today’s the final stage of the Ladies Tour of Norway was action packed and aggressive, finally concluding with a reduced bunch sprint where former Australian champion Gracie Elvin sprinted to sixth.

ORICA-SCOTT were active throughout the stage with a gutsy attack from Rachel Neylan in the final 25kilometres, fighting hard to remain ahead of the peloton until the final few kilometres. Katrin Garfoot countered attacked but despite the multiple attacks the race finished with a reduced sprint won by Megan Guarnier (Boels-Dolmans).

“I don’t think the girls could have done much more, they all had a really great race,” said sport director Gene Bates. “The plan was always to set up Katrin and Rachel as soon as we got to the finishing circuits and put a bit of pressure on the other teams.”
