The GreenEDGE family dominated the Mars Cycling National Road Championships in their debut season and had pressure to repeat the feat in 2013. They did not disappoint. The team captured five of the six national titles up for grabs with Shara Gillow (ITT), Luke Durbridge (ITT/RR), Cameron Meyer (Crit) and Gracie Elvin (RR). Michael Matthews added a silver medal (RR) and bronze medal (ITT) to the tally while Elvin's national road title was preceded by a bronze medal in the criterium. Leigh Howard rounded out the podium in the elite men's criterium to bring ORICA-GreenEDGE medal count up to nine (five gold, one silver, three bronze).
The team made history in the process as Gillow became the second Australian woman to claim three consecutive national titles in the individual time trial championships and Durbridge became the first Australian male professional to take titles in both the time trial and road race in the same year.
