Tour de San Luis
Stage 3: Tilisarao – Juana Koslay - Stage Details

The third stage of Tour de San Luis came down to a field sprint in Juana Koslay. Giacomo Nizzolo (Trek Factory Racing) proved quickest in the bunch to take the stage ahead of Francisco Ventoso (Movistar) and Tom Boonen (Omega Pharma-QuickStep). Aidis Kruopis was the team’s top finisher in 16th place.

With the majority of the field finishing on bunch time, the overall classification saw few changes. Phil Gaimon (Garmin-Sharp) remains in the race leader’s jersey ahead of Marc de Maar (UnitedHealthcare). Christian Meier hangs onto third overall, 3’56 outside of the race lead. Ivan Santaromita rounds out the top ten overall while Adam Yates, in 19th place on the general classification, will spend another day in the best young riders jersey.

"I’m still in the best young riders jersey. It’s not really a priority for the team. It’s something I picked up on the way, really. We’re here to work for Aidis in the sprints, and now that guys like Ivan and Christian are doing well on the overall, we can support those goals, too." - Adam Yates
