Stage 4: Yanqing - Chang Ping - Stage Details

Another stage. Another break. This time is was Mitch Docker's turn to represent ORICA-GreenEDGE up the road. Docker's five rider move formed during a fast first hour of racing and eluded the chasing field until the final 15 kilometers.

With Docker back in the bunch, his teammates lined things up for a field sprint. Originally intending to work for Leigh Howard, the team switched its focus to Allan Davis after Howard reported stomach issues. Davis sprinted to eighth on the stage.

"With Mitch up the road, the other guys sat around each and waited until it became clear that the breakaway wasn’t going to make it. At that point, they stuck closer together and moved towards the front. We couldn’t get quite as organized as we would have liked at the finish, and Alby ended up finishing eighth in the sprint with Marco Heller (Katusha) surprising the sprinters to take the win." - Sports Director Laurenzo Lapage
