Cadel Evans (BMC) won the fourth stage of the Tour of Alberta from a group of five riders that emerged from the day’s breakaway. Rohan Dennis (Garmin-Sharp) finished in the peloton more than nine minutes behind Evans to keep his yellow jersey after the penultimate day of racing.
Jiyong Kang was the best-placed rider for ORICA-GreenEDGE in 31st place. Kang finished on bunch alongside the rest of the team.
“We missed the break today. The move went early and we didn’t have anyone in it. Today was pretty quiet for us. I wish I had more to report, but we weren’t amongst the action.” - Sport Director Matt White
