Holland Ladies Tour
Stage 3: Leerdam - Stage Details

A late race crash dashed Nettie Edmonddon’s hope of challenging for the top step of the podium on the third stage of the Boels Rental Holland Ladies Tour. Kirsten Wild (Argos-Shimano) took her second victory on the second road stage of the six day race.

Amanda Spratt and Shara Gillow were caught behind the crash. Hoskins, Loes Gunnewijk and Gracie Elvin made it to the line with the front group, with Gunnewijk posting the best result for ORICA-AIS in 12th place on bunch time.

“Mel [Hoskins] was taking Nettie up the side of the bunch. They hit a bit of a lip on the side of the road at the same time that there was a big push from the bunch towards the girls. They had nowhere to go. Nettie hit the deck really hard at a critical point in the race,” McPartland continued. “She had a big, deep cut in her hip that required stitches. She’s also reporting a very sore ankle and elbow. They’re stitching her up now, and we’ll take her to the hospital straightaway after that she can get x-rays. The ankle is the main concern at the moment.” - Sport Director Dave McPartland
