Tour of Norway
Stage 5: Fla to Honefoss, Eggemoen - Stage Details

2013 Italian champion Ivan Santaromita has wrapped up the 2015 Tour of Norwayin sixth position overall.

Santaromita finished 13th on the final stage to drop from fourth on general classification following third and tenth placings on the previous two stages.

Andreas Vangstad (Team Sparebanken Sør) attacked the peloton for a solo victory on the final stage whilst Jenson Hansen (Tinkoff – Saxo) finished alongside Santaromita to defend his lead and take out the Tour.

Sport director Matt Wilson said the team took a gamble on the final stage but unfortunately it didn’t pay off.

“It was a pretty miserable day, pouring with rain and nine degrees for the whole stage so it was a rough finale for the guys,” Wilson said.
