ORICA-SCOTT conclude the 2017 Tour de Suisse with confidence after consistent results and achieving various objectives throughout the week.
Today’s final stage, a 28.6kilometre individual time trial was won by Rohan Dennis (BMC) with Magnus Cort the highest finisher for the team in 30th place.
Spaniard Carlos Verona produced a solid ride to remain in 16th place overall and despite not coming away with a stage victory as hoped for, sport director Neil Stephens was satisfied with the week and what the team achieved going forward.
“We weren’t really looking at today’s stage as such to go for the victory but more about development and looking to the future,” said Stephens. “Looking at the position of our riders, their power and how we can work to improve them in the future, so today was sort of a hard training day.”
