Tour of Swiss
Stage 1: Cham - Cham Prologue - Stage Details

Dreidaagse de Panne winner Luke Durbridge was ORICA-SCOTT’s highest placed finisher today in 12th place in the Tour de Suisse opening prologue.

The lung-busting six kilometre event was predominantly flat and one for the powerhouses. Rohan Dennis (BMC) proved to be the fastest on the day, stopping the clock eight seconds fastest than his nearer rival.

Having finished in third place in last year's Tour de Suisse prologue, Durbridge had high expectations for today and despite not making the podium this time round, the 25-year-old remained confident in his form.

“I felt pretty good out there today,” explained Durbridge. “I gave it a good crack but on such a short course you can easily make some mistakes.”
