One of the team’s senior members, Mat has added significant experience and guidance as the road caption upon joining the team in 2014.

The 2006 Commonwealth Games gold medalist is a classics specialist and has been a crucial leader over the last two years particularly for the team’s up and coming riders.

In his 16th year as a professional, Mat had a breakthrough year in 2016, finally winning his beloved Paris-Roubaix on the 15th attempt and completing the Tour de France for the first time.
